About UtilityForge
UtilityForge is an independent project that publishes free web-based utilities. We started it because many useful calculators and converters online are buried under clutter, require sign-ups, or send your input to a server for no reason.
Our mission
To provide accurate, understandable and private tools for specialised everyday tasks, such as checking whether a colour pair is accessible, working out a subnet, or deciding whether to prepay a loan.
How our tools are built
Each tool is written in plain JavaScript and uses well-documented standards and formulas: WCAG 2.1 relative luminance, the reducing-balance loan formula, RFC 1918 and RFC 3021 for IPv4, the Vixie-cron rules for cron expressions, and the IANA time-zone database via your browser. We test tools against known examples before publishing and fix reported errors promptly.
Advertising and funding
The site is supported by advertising, such as Google AdSense. Ads are clearly separate from the tools and never change the results you see. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies and your choices.
